Week 46 included a lot of time at the swimming pool and on our porch. But it also included a trip to visit Fitz’s great Grandma in Barrie.

We bumped into Carly’s friend Karen and her daughter Una on Roncesvalles this week. Una is 13 months and was crawling around on the sidewalk. We sat them down together a Baby Sidewalk Party broke. People were stopping to watch them crawl around (in Fitz’s case spin around in a circle using his heels for propulsion). The best part about the following photos is that the two of them seem to hamming it like ol’ time buddies.

Matt’s cousin Kris Kuhn got married in Niagara Falls this weekend so it gave us a chance to dress Fitz up is his bow-tie for the occasion. We stayed with Steffany, Matt’s other Kuhn cousin, where Fitz got to meeting a pair of dogs up close.

ABOVE: This is a new smile. He brings it out a few times a day when he seems to be mugging for you or pleased with himself.
BELOW: This melted Matt’s heart — the kid is already into maps.
As Fitzy hits 10 months, Canada reaches 147. We celebrated the long-weekend by playing on the porch and visiting the Legion Hall on the Lake Shore, not far from our place, for an authentic Canadian experience.

ABOVE & BELOW: We had a car for the weekend so we took the opportunity to take Fitz out to Kew Gardens and Beach in the east end. It was the family’s first picnic.
Fitz’s 41st week involved going to vote in the provincial election (he’s a huuuuuge Libertarian supporter).

ABOVE & BELOW: Father’s Day was spent having breakfast at Easy, just around the corner from us, and a walk along Queen Street.

Fitz and Matt got to spend an entire weekend together for the first time while Carly relaxed at a cottage with friends near Collingwood. Fitz reached the 9-month mark during the weekend so he celebrated by knocking down stacked blocks and pointing at everything.
ABOVE: Look at all those teeth coming in! Seven so far, with three more about to surface.
ABOVE: One of the play stations on the Circle of Neglect is this slot machine-like feature. Fitz has really mastered spinning it.
ABOVE & BELOW: One of Fitz’s favourite things to do is take two of these blocks and knock down any stacked blocks within swinging distance (or trying to eat them).
ABOVE & BELOW: Over the last few weeks Fitz has started pointing at everything. His index fingers are getting a lot of work these days.
Fitz now has two bottom teeth and four top teeth. And if you can get a close look at his gums you can see other teeth that will soon be popping through.
