6 weeks vs. 15 weeks
ABOVE: Fitz has a new friend: Sophie the giraffe. He mostly sucks on her neck.
ABOVE: Fitz is really enjoying the playmat. He is now grabbing the rings on his own without our help.
ABOVE: Whenever Fitz is placed on the playmat his eyes seem to light up and a sly smile comes across his face.
ABOVE & BLEOW: Fitz fell asleep on the couch today and was amenable to being moved around for a photo shoot.
ABOVE & BELOW: While Fitz seems to like sitting up he still needs to build up strength to stay upright.
ABOVE & BELOW: The requisite couch photo shoot.
And, of course, jealous Fever wanted to be a part of the photo shoot.
ABOVE: You can see the difference in Fitz’s size is this photo comparison: he’s wearing the same outfit but has filled into it much more 5 weeks later.
Yes, our little man has reached the ripe old age of 8 weeks and he is already practicing his poses for his first album cover.
Lil’ Fitz has made it to the ripe old age of one month. It has been an emotional roller coaster so far but also very rewarding, especially when we get to look back at the photos and see how much he’s grown. While he’s only recently passed the 7-pound mark (he was born at 5lbs, 13oz, and shrunk to 5lbs, 4oz by the end of his first week), he has changed a lot. His eyes are certainly brighter, his cheeks are fuller, and he seems much more aware of his surroundings.
He was calm and playful this morning so I (Matt) was able to capture him resting peacefully on the couch. As you can see, he’s on the verge of truly smiling. We are seriously looking forward to having a range of expressions other than crying and curious bewilderment.
